I would suggest drawing something other than people - I can't draw people very well. There are several stories, verses, concepts that can be drawn without people.

Mark 4:37

Or perhaps the plagues of Egypt, one of the parables, the empty tomb of the risen Lord.

Good luck

I think it would be nice to explore the theme of light and darkness in pencil. So you you could have:
"And God said 'let there be light,' and there was light. God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness. God called the light 'day', and the darkness he called 'night'. And there was evening, and there was morning- the first day."
Good luck with your project xx

Try checking out some of the parables. There are a bunch about things that could be pretty simple to draw- barren fig tree, mustard seed growing into huge plant, etc. There's always the dove w/ the olive branch in Genesis too- thats pretty easy to draw? I think its around 8:10ish.

the parables are listed & linked on this page

Someone has made a bunch of Bible illustrations using Legos, so they have to be pretty simple. Browsing through it may give you ideas.

I know how difficult it can be to come up with an illustration for a Bible Verse. I design cross stitch patterns that include both a Bible verses and a design element.

For I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me, I felt that an Oak tree grows slowly and strongly, so used an oak leave and acorn as design elements.

Blessings, Sandra
