Does anyone know what Bible verses these are?

Wiz asked:
There are a couple verses that I’ve heard before, or heard someone quote, but I can’t find them anywhere when I search. The first talks about how when we are saved by Jesus, our old life (or spirit?) is thrown away and we have a new life in Him.
The other one talks about how if we know Jesus and turn from him, we cannot turn back because Jesus would have to be crucified again. I believe that was said by Paul, but I’m not for sure.

Just a note: I noticed that the graphic “Bible Verse Search” is a graphic I had designed for my web site, Joyful Expression, cross stitching for Bible verses. It was fine that the image was used. http://www.joyfulexpressions.us

Hebrews 6:4 “For in the case of those who have once been enlightened and have tasted of the heavenly gift and have been made partakers of the Holy Spirit, 5 and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, 6 and then have fallen away, it is impossible to renew them again to repentance, since they again crucify to themselves the Son of God and put Him to open shame.”
2 Corinthians 5:16 “Therefore from now on we recognize no one according to the flesh; even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him in this way no longer. 17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come. ”
You may have read them in a different version. This is the NASB
