LOL
Couldn’t imagine why they wouldn’t air an episode of those bible vegetable cartoons based on this verse. XD
I think I would have watched it if they did.

Okay, I’d *just* posted this less than 24 hours ago: “Besides, it’s a *parody* series. Who cares about its name?” What part of it did you miss? Obviously I don’t *care*.
Y’know, when I started posting these, I did expect some discussion/argument about the moral validity of keeping these passages in a “holy” book, and yet, all I’m hearing is bickering about the semantics of the title. Get a *life* already!

All of the verses you mention, video maker, are mentioned in my church many times, so I don’t know what your church is like if it doesn’t look at the whole story.
It probably doesn’t know the whole truth. And if you don’t go to church? Don’t talk, because you’d be assuming.

Hmm, you may have a point there. But the flood story is usually represented as an act of Noah’s heroism, and has the caveat that the earth had become filled with wicked folks. Same with S&G. As for the crucifixion, the torture was done by humans, and not God (although God requiring a blood sacrifice does tend to show his violent side). Still, the ones I’m using for my videos are ones that aren’t as widely known to believers. Besides, it’s a *parody* series. Who cares about its name?

“Christians like to think the god of the Bible is peaceful …”
Noah’s Ark where God wipes out the world and then gives us a rainbow is one of the favorite bible stories to teach. Also Lot’s wife looking back at Sodom and Gammorah and turning to salt. That’s two cities destroyed almost A-bomb like. Add in Jesus crucifiction, the scourging beforehand. Well Mel Gibson made a mint with his movie about that. I don’t think your premise that Christians ignore the violence in the Bible holds up.

Christians like to think the god of the Bible is peaceful and loving, whereas these verses tend to show him as a bloodthirsty homicidal maniac.

Why do you think these verses are never read in church?

. . . And failing *that*, he *definitely* should have prophesied “cue ball” . . !

Some translations say the children shouted - Baldy , Baldy ,Baldy ! Either way , those are words to kill over !

Alas Chrome Dome was not to be used for millenia to come (god should have prophesied that ).
